Forward Deployed Engineering
The timer starts when you open the first question. It runs on our server, so closing the tab or losing your connection does not pause it.
Before it starts you get three practice questions, one of each type. They are not scored and the clock is not running during them.
Questions appear one at a time and save automatically every few seconds, so a refresh or a dropped connection will not lose your work.
Nothing is deducted for a wrong answer. A guess you are unsure of is always worth more than a blank.
Register with the email address your invitation was sent to. Any other address will be turned away, and you get one attempt.
Work somewhere quiet on a laptop or desktop, with a connection you trust. Phones and tablets are not supported: the questions need a keyboard and a wider screen.
While the test is running we record when the window loses focus or the tab is switched, and when a copy, paste, right-click or print is attempted. Copying and pasting are disabled for the duration.
These are notes for the reviewer. We cannot see your other tabs, your files, or anything outside this page.
You will not see a score. Results go to the reviewing team, marking is automatic, and a person reviews every borderline case. No candidate is rejected by the system.
We collect your name and email address, so we can identify your attempt and contact you about the outcome; your answers, the questions you were shown and how long you spent on each; your written response; and the kind of device you started on.
We do not ask for your gender, age, nationality, or what or where you studied. None of it is needed to assess this test, so none of it is requested.
To have your data deleted, contact the administrator who invited you.
